Extinct is Forever!

We are a volunteer driven non-profit organization dedicated to the survival of rare and endangered species. We are also involved in humane wildlife rescue and rehabilitation of animals involved in public concerns, and as always, we provide a safe haven for unwanted, abused and injured exotic and zoo surplus animals.


How You Can Help

Construction season for 2010 has arrived, and here's what we have on the list so far:
Lola and Diablo - build a new house
Woody - build a new house
Spazzy and Shadow (new raccoons) - build a new enclosure
Naomi - house renovation
Old emu enclosure - rebuild into a temporary or geriatric enclosure for large carnivores
Nursery enclosure - rebuild, expand
MaMere (new red fronted lemur) - build a new outside enclosure
Kamen`s old house - rebuild to use as a lockout

These are all new construction projects, we also have to do normal after-winter
maintenance on all of the enclosures.

You can help!

Here is our wish list of supplies:
Donate gift cards for Home Depot, Rona, Lowe's, or Princess Auto
Donate Canadian Tire money
Mini ties (garden lumber)
Industrial grade fencing and lumber that is not pre-used
Large construction staples and long green (coated) deck screws (3")
New (not pre-owned) chest freezers (we just lost 2)
Bales of shavings
Shovels and rakes (not pre-used)
Wheel barrows (not pre-used)
Basketballs and soccer balls (the lions and tigers love them!)
Paper towels, tea towels (not blankets, we have plenty!)
Environmentally friendly cleaning supplies (they're non-toxic for the animals)

Adopt an Animal
There are three levels of adoption:
"Friend" $50.00 Choice of available animals, personalized certificate of adoption, and a framed picture of your adopted animal. Make an appointment to come and meet your adopted animal and take a tour of Bear Creek.

"Guardian" $100.00
Everything in the "Friend" level PLUS: One year's membership to visit your adopted animal at Bear Creek Wildlife Sanctuary, and an update and picture on your adopted animal's birthday. Make an appointment to come and meet your adopted animal and take a tour of Bear Creek.

"Protector" $500.00
Everything in "Friend" and "Guardian" levels PLUS: A sign on your adopted animal's home enclosure with your name as sponsor. (Great for companies!) Also monthly updates and snapshots of your adopted animal. Make an appointment to come and meet your adopted animal and take a tour of Bear Creek. People and organizations who adopt under the Protector category will have exclusive adoption rights to that animal for that year.
