Burt and Ernie are Emus, the Australian equivalent of the African Ostrich. Emus are farmed for their eggs, their meat and the oil from their feathers, which is used as an arthritis treatment. The oil is milked off of the feathers, the birds aren't harmed to harvest it. I have no idea which bird is which, so I'm just going to post a bunch of pictures of both of them.
